Saudi Aramco has decided to proceed with the development of a number of its major oil fields, part of an integrated oil and gas expansion. The British company Amec Foster Wheeler has won contracts to develop the Marjan marine field in the Eastern Province, north of Jubail.

Under the five-year contract, the British company will provide engineering services, design services, project management and support services for an additional 300,000-barrel-per-day gas separator. It will also provide similar services to a new gas processing facility and a dual-generation facility and to make changes to an existing unit to add the capacity of natural gas liquids.

The Hasbaa subsea gas field is connected to the gas and sorting plant number (2) in Marjan. Six gas production platforms and two platforms have been established to link the field with the computational plant, as well as a 160 km pipeline to transport approximately 2.0 billion standard cubic feet of non-associated gas. Up to 50 km of electrical wiring and communication from the gas-oil sorting plant number (2) shall be extended from Marjan to the main plant, all under sea water.

Aramco is building 17 oilfield bases in Berri and Marjan fields, supplying 9 oilfield platforms in Berri field and 8 bases in Marjan field, launching major engineering works, purchasing materials, supplies, manufacturing and transportation to implement Saudi Aramco programs, in order to develop offshore oil and gas fields in the Saudi Arabian territory of the Arabian Gulf.

وقررت شركة أرامكو السعودية ومضت قدما في أعمال تطوير عدد من حقول النفط الرئيسية التابعة لها والتي تمثل جزءا من التوسع المتكامل للنفط والغاز، حيث أعلنت شركة “أميك فوستر ويلر” البريطانية، عن فوزها بعقود تطوير حقل مرجان البحري في المنطقة الشرقية، شمال الجبيل.

وبموجب العقد الذي يمتد إلى 5 سنوات، سوف تقوم الشركة البريطانية بتوفير الخدمات الهندسية وخدمات التصميم وإدارة المشروعات وخدمات الدعم لوحدة إضافية لفصل الغاز عن النفط بسعة 300 ألف برميل يوميا. كما ستقوم بتوفير خدمات مماثلة لوحدة جديدة لمعالجة الغاز ومرفق للتوليد المزدوج ولإضفاء تغييرات على وحدة قائمة لإضافة سعة تجزئة لسوائل الغاز الطبيعي.

ويرتبط حقل الحصباة المغمور بمعمل فرز الغاز عن الزيت رقم 2 في المرجان وقد تم إنشاء ست منصات لإنتاج الغاز ومنصتين لربط الحقل بمعمل الحصباة، وكذلك خطا أنابيب بطول 160 كيلومتراً لنقل ما يقرب من 2.0 بليون قدم مكعبة قياسية من الغاز غير المرافق، كما سيكون هناك تمديدات يصل طولها إلى 50 كيلومتراً من التمديدات الكهربائية والاتصالات من معمل فرز الغاز عن الزيت رقم 2 في المرجان إلى المعمل، وجميعها تحت مياه البحر.

وتشيد أرامكو 17 قاعدة لمنصات نفطية تابعة لها في حقلي بري ومرجان وتوريد 9 قواعد منصات نفطية في حقل بري و8 قواعد في حقل مرجان، وإطلاق أعمال هندسية ضخمة وشراء المواد والتوريد والتصنيع والنقل، لتنفيذ برامج أرامكو السعودية لتطوير حقول النفط والغاز المغمورة في المنطقة السعودية في الخليج العربي.

وقال رئيس مشاريع أوبستريم كابيتال، أميك فوستر ويلر، نيك شورتن، إن الشركة لعبت دورا رئيسيا في العديد من استثمارات أرامكو السعودية الرئيسية سواء التمهيدية أو النهائية في مجال الإنتاج. وتعمل شركة “أميك البريطانية” بمجال النفط والغاز من الإنتاج إلى التكرير والتجهيز والتوزيع للمنتجات المشتقة وفي أسواق التعدين والطاقة، وتمتلك 35 ألف عامل في أكثر من 55 دولة، بإيرادات تبلغ 5.4 مليار جنيه إسترليني بنهاية 2016.[:]
